Dive.is - Diving and Snorkeling in Iceland

Since 2013, we have been working with DIVE.IS, Iceland's leading provider of diving and snorkeling tours, on the continuous development of their digital platforms. The comprehensive support includes the design and maintenance of the website, which serves as the central marketing tool making DIVE.IS's diverse offerings accessible worldwide and enabling direct online tour bookings. Additionally, we optimize internal processes using individually developed tools such as the Check-In Tool and the Tourpaper Tool to make both tour coordination and customer experience efficient and user-friendly.

Water Sports on the Volcanic Island

Our partner DIVE.IS is a leading provider of diving and snorkeling tours in Iceland. Among experts, Iceland is considered one of the most renowned diving spots worldwide. DIVE.IS offers guided diving and snorkeling tours, including special tours in the famous Silfra fissure in Þingvellir National Park. Founded in the early 2000s as a small company by Tobias Klose, DIVE.IS has grown into a significant water sports provider in Iceland and caters to tourists from around the world, including a large audience from the USA, Europe, and increasingly from Asia.

Goals and Strategic Focus

The goal of our collaboration is to provide comprehensive support for DIVE.IS's services. By developing a powerful and internationally oriented website, we have created a central hub where DIVE.IS's complete tour offerings are presented both informatively and visually appealing. The website is not only a marketing tool that makes these experiences accessible to tourists from around the world but is also directly connected to a booking system that integrates a seamless booking process.
In subsequent process steps, such as during the execution of tours, we provide support with web-based special solutions.

Implementation of Process Support Tools

In addition to the website, we have developed other digital solutions for DIVE.IS that optimize workflows. This includes the Tourpaper Tool, which gives guides a central overview of tour details such as number of participants and special requirements (e.g., wetsuit sizes). This web-based application ensures that the now over 30 coaches always have access to all relevant data and can optimally plan their tours.

Additionally, we have developed the Check-In Tool, a software solution through which customers can complete a required health certificate before the tour begins. This digital solution simplifies the process for participants and efficiently meets DIVE.IS's legal requirements.

Technical Implementation and Innovation Approaches

For the website, we implemented the Kirby CMS, which enables the DIVE.IS team to independently manage and update content such as texts and images. This solution allows for quick adjustments to keep the website current and relevant. Further innovations include customized software solutions that we have specifically developed for DIVE.IS and that optimize both the customer experience and internal processes.

Challenges and Development of the Partnership

The international cooperation with DIVE.IS has presented our teams with new challenges, which we have successfully mastered through regular visits and digital coordination. Since the beginning of our collaboration in 2013, we have been meeting annually for review meetings to evaluate the achieved goals and plan the further strategic direction of the partnership.

Future Prospects

Currently, we are working together with DIVE.IS on developing a merchandise store that will expand the company's web offerings and provide tourists with additional opportunities to purchase souvenirs of their Iceland experience. In doing so, we are contributing to the continuous development of DIVE.IS's digital presence and promoting the brand's international visibility.
